About
I am a doctoral-prepared Family Nurse Practitioner board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Rush University. My clinical background is diverse, with a growing list of clinical interests including primary care, urgent care and mental health. I understand that medicine is a dynamic field, so I always aim to stay abreast of the latest research. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with family and friends, dabbling in unique activities and exploring different parts of the world.

I would describe my clinical approach as compassionate, evidence-based care, with a focus on patient empowerment. It is important to me that my patients feel heard and equipped with the tools to successfully manage their health.
Experience
I am currently a VA Disability Examiner for Veterans for General Medicine claims. I see veterans of all ages ranging from 20s-80s and evaluate a variety of health claims including but not limited to chronic musculoskeletal pain (ie. spinal stenosis with radiculopathy), gynecological conditions (ie. uterine fibroids, female sexual arousal disorder), and metabolic disease (ie. diabetes, hypertension). I perform detailed physical exams and order labs/imaging as appropriate to confirm a diagnosis. I also formulate medical opinions requested by the VA using medical records and physical exam findings as evidence. Just prior to my current position, I worked as an FNP in a private clinic providing primary care, urgent care, and mental health services. I cared for mostly adults with the majority of patients in the age range of 20s-60s. Providers shared primary care patients, but patients had the ability to request providers to promote continuity of care. My position required me to rotate between in-person visits (both scheduled primary care and urgent care walk-ins) and telemedicine visits. Telemedicine visits typically consisted of mental health services (anxiety, depression, ADHD), urgent care (URI, sinusitis, bronchitis) and lab/x-ray review for follow up visits.
