About

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I’m deeply committed to supporting women navigating midlife transitions, including mood changes, stress, anxiety, sleep issues, and hormonal shifts. I take a collaborative and educational approach, so you feel informed and confident in your care plan. In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, maintaining wellness routines, and pursuing continuous professional growth. I believe mental health care should feel approachable, respectful, and personalized.

Approach

I practice collaborative, evidence-based care where your voice matters. Together, we address mood, sleep, hormonal shifts, and metabolic health with clear education and thoughtful medication management when needed.

Experience

Over the past five years, my clinical work has focused on behavioral health across outpatient psychiatry, hospital-based behavioral health units, and skilled nursing/long-term care settings. I have provided care to children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations with a wide range of psychiatric diagnoses, including major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, insomnia, and substance use disorders. In outpatient settings, I conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, develop differential diagnoses, initiate and manage psychopharmacologic treatment, and provide ongoing medication management and monitoring. I collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, evidence-based care. My practice emphasizes accurate assessment, appropriate laboratory monitoring when indicated, medication safety, and adherence to state and federal prescribing regulations. In hospital and long-term care environments, I have managed patients with acute psychiatric exacerbations as well as individuals with chronic mental illness complicated by medical comorbidities and cognitive impairment. I am experienced in crisis assessment, stabilization planning, gradual dose reduction processes in SNF settings, and management of complex medication regimens. My background includes over a decade of nursing experience prior to advanced practice, which strengthens my clinical judgment, risk assessment, and ability to manage complex, high-acuity patients across the lifespan.
