About
Sara Barrett, FNP, brings 28 years of nursing experience to her role as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She began her nursing career in the United States Army Reserves and went on to further her education, ultimately earning her Family Nurse Practitioner degree. She has been practicing as an NP since 2014. Originally born and raised in Illinois, Sara spent the past 27 years in Arizona before recently returning home to be closer to family. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, including her 18 year old son, lifting weights, shopping, being outdoors, and caring for her two rescue dogs.

Approach
Approach to care is rooted in accountability, prevention, and empowerment. Passionate about encouraging patients to take an active role in their health. I base care on evidence-based practice and shared decision making with colleagues.
Experience
I held a staff Nurse Practitioner position at an ENT private practice in Sun City West. I saw patients independently and had a work load of about 16-20 patients. Our practice primarily saw a more geriatric population as Sun City West is a retirement community. But we did see and treat patients from newborns to geriatric.
